Overview

Develop and industrialize repair processes for gas turbine components.

Tasks

-This role will focus more on developing machining process. -Ensure the successful transfer of development processes and validate repair service centers' qualifications and certifications for their repair procedures. -Develop new manufacturing and repair process technology to assist component teams in implementing repair strategies or fulfilling factory NPI requirements. -Provide continuous improvement support and seek opportunities to enhance processes across the repair network. -Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures. -Utilize lean-manufacturing values for daily work and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs, and increase capacity -Create a validation plan for repair materials/process technology in conjunction with New Repair Introduction engineers. -Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments.

What You Bring

-Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external customers. -General understanding of processes knowledge used for repair of industrial gas turbine components. -Strong oral and written communication skills. -Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while embracing and driving positive change inside and outside the organization when appropriate. -Bachelor's degree in Welding, Materials, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent engineering degree. -Understanding of lean methodology. -Ability and willingness to travel a minimum of 10% of the time, as required.
