Tasks

You’ll be responsible for the full commercial management of your projects – from procurement and cost control through to final account – ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and within budget -Oversee subcontractor procurement, payment applications, and contract administration. -Manage all commercial aspects of projects, including cost planning, valuations, variations, and final accounts. -Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure financial performance and compliance. -Support continuous improvement across our Groundworks and Civils operations. -Provide accurate forecasting, cost reporting, and value management.

What You Bring

J Coffey Infrastructure is seeking an experienced and hands-on Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Reading. This is a key role within our Surface Division, supporting a range of Groundworks, Civils, FRC (Formwork, Reinforcement & Concrete) and Drainage projects. -HNC/HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field -Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within Groundworks, Civils, and Concrete (FRC) environments -Strong understanding of drainage, infrastructure, and surface works -Previous experience working on complex or high-security sites (AWE or MOD projects desirable) -SC Clearance preferred – candidates must be eligible for UK Security Clearance -Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
