You support external partnerships, conferences, and events to elevate the company’s advocacy and profile
You’ll partner with internal communications, sustainability, and marketing teams to align messaging
You will position the company as a thought leader and an effective advocate in renewable energy and public policy development
You will manage crisis communications when necessary
You will have established a network of media contacts in energy, business, and policy press
You will serve as the primary spokesperson or prepare executives for media engagements, interviews, and public appearances
You coordinate day to day external messaging on key social media channels
You oversee the creation and approval of press releases, op-eds, speeches, white papers, and other external communications materials including managing external social media
You provide external communications elements for company website
You collaborate with government affairs, investor relations, and business teams to ensure consistent and effective messaging across all external channels
You will craft compelling narratives that communicate the company’s mission, impact, and leadership in renewable energy policy
You will develop and implement a comprehensive external communications strategy aligned with business goals and corporate values that define audiences, communications channels, and targeted key messages
You act as facilitator / coordinator of external communications network across ENGIE North America with business units leads who have communications responsibilities

You build and manage strong relationships with journalists, editors, analysts, and industry influencers
You proactively identify opportunities for earned media
You will have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in external communications, public relations, or corporate affairs, preferably in energy, sustainability, or technology sectors
Confident spokesperson and media handler
You are experienced in coordinating and influencing cross functional teams, developing and managing budgets, and external communications agencies
You will have demonstrated success in media relations, thought leadership, and crisis communications
Collaborative leader who works well across functions and has demonstrated skills to effectively lead and influence others
Adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving industry
You will possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Strategic thinker with strong execution skills
You have strong writing, editing, and presentation skills with the ability to distill complex topics into accessible messages
This role requires a valid state issued Driver’s License
Must be available to travel domestically up to 40% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
