Business Manager

Overview

Oversees project finance, accounting, contracts, and team coordination for construction projects.

Tasks

-Lead project close-out of project, including turnover of manuals and warranties and preparation of final -Establish a deadline and monitor the progress of the project -Develop and maintain positive working relationships with counterparts at owner, engineering and design firms -Lead all activities related to contract administration, change orders, procurement, and financial reporting -Lead, train, and develop project team members -Provide leadership to foster an environment of inclusion and diversity -Project cash-flow monitoring and forecasting -Prepare monthly cost reports -Consumable materials purchasing and equipment inventory monitoring -Compiling owner pay applications -Change Order Monitoring and Reconciliation -Support monthly project financial forecast -Prepare and submit monthly job status reports that outline project priorities and issues -Take an active role in recruiting top industry talent to join the Atkinson team -Proactively identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate and win the right work -Assist with project setup, closeout, and owner contract review and readiness -Facilitate project meetings to successfully coordinate work activity -Produce month end financial reporting including equipment billing, subcontractor payments and owner payments.

What You Bring

-Have thorough knowledge of the company contracts and understanding of all parties involved -Highly motivated individual with strong organizational and time management skills -Experience with Textura, Coupa, or Google platforms is a plus -Demonstratable experience with SAP -Excellent oral and written communication skills -Alignment to Clark Standards of Excellence: self-motivated, results oriented, adaptable, team player, accountable, ethical, innovative, resilient, builds relationships, builds people/teams and followership, sets direction and executes -Must be intermediate (above average) in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint -Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or other business-related fields or similar relevant work experience -Careful attention to detail and reliability of output -Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills -Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment
