The Role

Overview

Maintain cleanliness and perform light repairs for multiple apartment properties.

Tasks

-Assist the maintenance team with snow removal (If applicable). -Maintain all trash rooms, enclosures, compactors, containers, and surrounding areas. -Ensures that unsafe conditions are corrected promptly. -Perform administrative work each morning (30 minutes) as assigned by the PM or Support Center, including but not limited to prescribed online training, reviewing “My Pennrose” updates, reviewing messages from the executive team/ownership, participating in “Team Meetings,” etc. Communication and compliance with PMs, MSs, RPMs, RMMs, and Property Support Center is mandatory. Your supervisor will provide undisturbed computer time. -Immediately report all unsafe conditions. -Learns and ensures compliance with all company, local, state, and federal safety rules. -Assist in cleaning shared area bathrooms, hallway/breezeway floors, and elevators. -Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, clubhouse, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor. -Responsible for meticulous upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots, and other community buildings. -Assist in the troubleshooting/repair of mechanical, carpentry, and electrical problems. -Remove trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter daily. -Assist with the Supportive Services program so that it is successful. -Assist the Maintenance Supervisor/Property Manager and perform assigned maintenance tasks promptly. -Assist in preparing market-ready units, including removing trash from vacant apartments (trash outs) before making-ready. -Assist in the cleaning of available apartments and or models.

What You Bring

-Ability to climb stairs, take elevators, bend, squat and reach overhead, and meet standard mobility and lifting for tasks typically associated with property maintenance -High School Diploma or GED -preferred -One year of property maintenance responsibilities, or similar experience -Requires a valid driver’s license, an insured vehicle, and the ability to travel (between properties) -Ability to work periodic flexible hours is required. Ability to travel by plane and automobile is required. -Ability to work at property locations within or near transitional neighborhoods
