  • Support client engagements and stakeholder communication at senior levels
  • Play a leading role in developing the growth of nuclear sovereign skills in Australia, working closely with other members of our Global nuclear practice (inclusive of upskilling).
  • Lead and support technical and quality assurance activities relating to the design and safety analysis of nuclear infrastructure
  • Help foster collaboration across internal project teams and delivery partners
  • Support and proactively manage issues, drive decision making, and support resolution pathways
  • Supporting delivery of complex project scopes on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards in a heavily regulated Defence / Nuclear environment.
  • Evaluate and mitigate risks for our Defence clients
  • Provide mentorship to staff seeking to develop their knowledge and experience in delivery of major infrastructure projects.

  • Understand delivery of major infrastructure programmes throughout the whole project lifecycle (master planning through design and Construction and handover)
  • Chartered Engineer or Project Manager (preferred but not essential)
  • Current AU security clearance (or eligibility to obtain)
  • The candidate adheres to Mott MacDonald’s global standards, assessing risks, implementing mitigations and balancing Health, Safety and Welfare
  • Experience in civil or naval nuclear programs, radiopharmaceuticals, oil and gas or Rail (applicants from other high-hazard industries will be considered)
  • Have an understanding of nuclear safety cases and/or a heavily regulated industry (e.g Oil and Gas, Rail or Pharmaceuaticals).
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, expertise in risk mitigation, and proven experience in project organisation, issue management, feedback handling, scope change management, and client expectation management.
  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to project management or an engineering disciplines
  • 8+ years of experience working in Defence project delivery (i.e. heavily regulated industries) in the fields of infrastructure i.e. services, civil or maritime.
