Tasks

The eBilling Analyst supports the Legal Operations team by managing electronic billing systems, ensuring invoices comply with corporate and outside counsel guidelines, and optimizing billing workflows. They act as the main liaison between internal teams, outside law firms, and vendors — handling invoice processing, troubleshooting, reporting, and system maintenance — with a strong focus on accuracy, process improvement, and legal spend visibility. -Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into legal spend, accruals, budget vs. actuals, and outside counsel performance. -Manage day-to-day operations of the ebilling system, including invoice submission, review, validation, and approval workflows. -Manage the onboarding and maintenance of outside counsel firms in TeamConnect, handling rate submissions as required. -Partner with Legal Operations leadership to continuously evaluate and improve billing processes and system functionality. -Act as primary point of contact for outside counsel and vendors regarding billing guidelines, invoice submissions, and system troubleshooting. -Monitor eBilling queues, resolve exceptions, and escalate issues as needed. -Ensure compliance with corporate ebilling guidelines and outside counsel engagement terms.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, or related field; or equivalent experience. -Experience with case/matter management systems, document management systems and legal operations workflows. -Familiarity with TAP workflow automation (design, testing, and administration). -Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools. -Prior experience working in a corporate legal department or with outside counsel law firms. -Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and with external law firms. -3+ years of experience in eBilling, legal operations, or law firm billing roles. -Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. -Understanding of accruals, budgets, and legal spend management. -Hands-on experience with TeamConnect, Collaborati, and other eBilling platforms. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
