The Role

Overview

Design and develop electrical systems for medical/industrial devices, handling schematics, PCB layout, testing, and documentation.

Tasks

Partner with manufacturing, contract developers, and quality teams to ensure design robustness, proper testing, and alignment with design control processes. Provide electrical and electronic engineering technical expertise to support device research, development, and delivery activities. Evaluate and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance with design requirements. Provide regular design-related updates and technical opinions to senior management to support project integrity and decision-making. Support verification, validation, and risk management activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Develop detailed design and interface specifications for software, mechanical, and systems engineering teams. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design reports, work instructions, change control records, and development plans. The Electrical Design Engineer will provide technical expertise in the design, development, and support of innovative medical or industrial devices. This role ensures that all electrical and electronic design concepts are based on sound engineering principles and developed using the latest tools and technologies. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, high-quality device designs from concept through commercialization. Utilize schematic capture, circuit simulation, and PCB layout tools to design, evaluate, and optimize electronic circuits and components.

What You Bring

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in electrical and electronic circuit design. Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams in a fast-paced R&D environment. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Hands-on experience with schematic capture, circuit simulation, and PCB layout software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing technical documentation.
