The Role
Overview
Maintain soil moisture on greens, tees, fairways, and manage golf course equipment.

Tasks
-Monitors and maintains moisture on all playing surfaces. -Operates all types of turfgrass management equipment including utility vehicles, reel and rotary mowers, flymos, mechanical bunker rakes, aerifiers, sprayers, turf vacs, skid steers, and sprayers. -Lays and hand waters sod, installs plant material and mulch. -Assists in construction of new greens, tees and fairways. -Maintains adequate levels of moisture in the landscape and tree plantings. -Excavates and back fills ditches and trenches with hand tools. -Performs precision water management on bent grass and bermuda grass greens. -Performs cleaning procedures and manual labor tasks. -Checks the performance of irrigation heads on the golf course and makes adjustments as necessary. -Checks and maintains the functionality of drip irrigation systems to ensure proper delivery of water. -Performs hand trimming and detail work on various areas of the golf course.

What You Bring
-Ability to work in a team environment. -Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds. -Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times. -Prior experience working on a golf course maintenance team is preferred. -High School Diploma or equivalent. -Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred. -Some knowledge of irrigation practices are preferred. -Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands. -Valid drivers license. -Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
