Tasks
-Attend project design team meetings and interface with various team members, particularly the client, architect, and mechanical contractor/engineer. -Supervise, review, comment, and process equipment and system submittals. -Generate project specifications appropriate for the project. -May be the Engineer of Record for projects as assigned. -Work closely with the Rosendin Project Manager to coordinate the design criteria with budgetary issues and deliverables schedule on the projects they are assigned. -Supervise or Utilize engineering analysis programs and professional judgment to analyze loads, lighting levels, and short circuit currents. -Perform work involving the application of conventional aspects of electrical engineering related to the design of high-tech, mission-critical health industry, commercial, industrial, high-rise residential, and other facilities. -Prepare documentation for the commissioning of a building. -Supervise the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with the city, state, county officials, and other outside agencies. -Resolve various complex problems (i.e., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements, technical issue resolution). -Oversee a team of engineers, designers, and staff on a project basis or individual initiative. -Supervise process coordination between architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and all electrical trades. -Supervise or conduct distribution analysis, including voltage drop, voltage droop, and underground heat effect (Neher-McGrath) calculations. -Supervise or conduct short circuit and over-current protection device coordination studies and Arc Flash Studies. -Review plans and technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates. -Oversee preparation of power system single-line diagrams, including feeder, over current protection sizing, and equipment elevations. -Oversee the preparation of designs, including power, lighting, and auxiliary systems. -Develop a complete and accurate sequence of operations for all designed systems. -Conduct value engineering exercises to evaluate the cost of construction. -Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors during project installation. -Oversee the project specifications or equipment buy-out. -Oversee plans and specifications, establish schedules, and coordinate electrical engineering work. -Visit job sites to field survey existing electrical conditions.

What You Bring
-Licensure as a US-based Professional Engineer is required -Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position -Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others -Up to 50% (Does not include local field visits) -Bachelor's degree in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences -One-year on-site field experience strongly encouraged -Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering subjects, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, energy conservation, value engineering, applicable codes, standards, etc., is required to design state-of-the-art constructible projects. -General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning -Proficient in Autodesk, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), Illumination software, and Oracle software pertaining to Engineering Productivity and CAC generation. -Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary -Working knowledge of equipment and system testing and commissioning. -Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of Engineering Experience -Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player -Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude -Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
