Electrical Engineer

Overview

Design, deliver, commission electrical systems for water/wastewater projects in Ireland.

Tasks

-Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and process engineers to integrate electrical systems into overall plant design. -Prepare load schedules, tick sheets, control philosophy, system architecture, electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, commissioning plan and equipment specifications. -Be involved in projects from concept to completion. -Design and specify electrical systems for new and existing wastewater treatment plants/ wastewater pumping stations, upgrades and expansions. -Preform site surveys to inspect existing equipment and electrical installation. -Review electrical schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams to support troubleshooting and system integration -Supervise installation and commissioning of electrical panels, motors, MCCs, VSDs, lighting, and instrumentation systems. -Create and submit electrical submissions, review and answer questions on comments from client. -Sourcing and ordering electrical equipment for the project. -Preform cable sizing calculations.

-Possess a keen attention to detail. -Have a good knowledge of instrumentation. -Have at least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role. -Be confident in LV electrical and control systems. -Hold a degree in Electrical, Electronic or a similar engineering field. -Be a strong written and verbal communicator.
