Tasks
-Support the oversight of construction management personnel to ensure timely completion of assignments, budget compliance and adherence to applicable standards. -Responsible for $6-$8M in capital projects annually, including conceptual design/development, coordination of pilot testing, development of the project plans and internal funding approvals. -Ensure corporate Technical and Environmental Health and Safety/Security standards are incorporated into the design specifications. -Provide technical expertise on engineering and operational issues and support facility condition assessments for our water/wastewater operations. -Assist with developing analysis and reports to be provided to regulators, internal or external customers as required. Provide support as needed for Rate Case Filings. -Manage the project development, design (either internal or external) and construction of large and small capital projects in accordance with engineering guidelines and procurement policies. Support the oversight of construction management personnel to ensure timely completion of assignments, budget compliance, asset management documentation and adherence to applicable standards. -Participate in master planning efforts of existing systems and new acquisitions (water and wastewater). Prepare short-term and long-term capital improvement plans for new acquisitions and prepare valuations of systems based on due diligence site visits and condition assessments to assist with the formulation of bids for acquisitions. -Participate in the development of engineering design and delivery processes and standards. -Coordinate with the master planning department to assure the focus of capital project planning meets the medium and long-term system needs. -Drive efficiency into project delivery through the monitoring of delivery metrics and utilization of alternate procurement and delivery methods. -Manage and report on project expenditures to ensure they are aligned with budget and prioritize projects based on available funding and risk assessment -Manage environmental and governmental permitting in coordination with local business unit staff.

What You Bring
-Financial analysis skills, including budget management, ongoing assessment of project risks/opportunities and basic accounting knowledge. -Superior personal effectiveness skills, visible “leadership by example” utilizing participative management involving employees and teamwork whenever possible. -Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, commensurate experience may be considered -Minimum 10 years of experience managing electrical design, MEP design, or construction projects and five (5) years of experience managing water/wastewater-specific projects including electrical upgrade projects for treatment plants, and pumping stations -Experience leading and managing multi-faceted teams. -Thorough working knowledge of electrical equipment associated with water infrastructure, including but not limited to transformers, generators, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, substations, capacitors, transfer switches, and both high and low-voltage equipment. MEP experience a plus. -Working knowledge of water and wastewater process applications preferred -Experience utilizing alternate project delivery methods (design-build, integrated project delivery) and contracting methods (guaranteed maximum price, reimbursable) -Strong project management skills (initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing). -Successful candidates must be willing to travel to the various business unit sites as per job requirements. -Strong communication, presentation and reporting skills. -Computer skills (MS Project, Google Suite, Oracle PeopleSoft, Oracle Hyperion or other planning/performance/budgeting tools a plus). -PMP and/or Construction Management certifications a plus. -Professional Engineer License (PE). -Ability to work transversally with corporate and local business units.
