Overview

Maintain & troubleshoot MH-47G avionics/electrical systems, wiring, and related equipment.

Tasks

-This worker reads schematics, interprets maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and methods of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. -Maintain aircraft logbook forms and records with ACN or other electronic logbook system. -This mechanic will be required to repair and replace aircraft wiring, replace aircraft components, and trouble shoot aircraft electrical systems as needed or as instructed in technical publications and IETMS.

What You Bring

-The mechanic will need to be able to use a multi-meter as well as other standard avionic test sets to maintain and trouble-shoot aircraft systems. -Ability to travel 1-2 weeks at a time supporting TDY assignments. -This mechanic must be able work independently during travel and while at home station performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. -Must be a U.S. citizen. -Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. -6+ years' experience in aviation avionic/electrical systems. Two years of SOCOM aircraft experience desirable. -Must have own toolbox and tools. -Experience using multi-meters and other electrical/avionic test sets. -Must be able to pass a basic physical to operate equipment and vehicles on the flight line. -Able to pass basic solder certification and vision testing. -This mechanic must be able to perform administrative actions when it comes to aircraft forms and records on systems being utilized by the organization.
