The Role

Overview

Operate tractor‑trailers to safely transport freight, load/unload, document, and support emergencies.

Tasks

-Performs duties during extreme heat, cold and inclement weather (including rain, snow and ice). -Performs work in an outdoor environment with extended periods of driving. -Work activities frequently involve climbing, twisting, bending, squatting crawling, kneeling, walking and standing. -Will be required to be “on-call” following the callout schedule. -Work activities include carrying and positioning various cargo securement equipment (chains, tarps, straps and etc.) on level/unlevel surfaces. -Work activities include reaching, lifting, carrying, pulling and pushing of weights up to 50 lbs.

What You Bring

-Previous experience and operational knowledge of proper load securement -Proficient knowledge of DOT/FMCSA Regulations -Ability meet DOT and Crane physical requirements -Safe Driving Record -1 year of related work experience -Basic Rigging Certification and experience -Physically able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. -Experience operating piggyback (larger sized) forklift -Operation of manual clutch and gears on various vehicles. -Previous experience and operational knowledge of road tractors and various trailers (i.e. flatbed, step deck, Van Trailers) -Ability to obtain Crane Operation certification -Ability to work safely. -Knowledge of and experience with ELD’S (Electronic Logging Device) -Ability to comply with all federal regulations, company policies and departmental policies. -Familiar with Samsara/telematics applications -Substation Qualified -Prolonged periods sitting/driving in all traffic conditions. -High School Diploma/GED -Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with teammates, internal and external customers and suppliers. -Basic Computer Skills to use Microsoft Office products -Previous experience and operational knowledge of various types of equipment. -Basic use of smartphone applications -1-3 years of experience driving combination vehicles. (i.e. road tractors and semi-trailers) -Ability to obtain Hazardous Material endorsement -Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) -5 years of experience driving combination of vehicles (i.e. road tractors and semi-trailers) -Previous forklift experience and certification -Regularly lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. -Exposure to high stress situations and requirements to be available for emergency response as required by the needs of service. -Articulating Crane Certification
