Apply resource loading for establishing optimal crew/staffing plans.
Support project reporting by providing schedule updates and variance analysis for internal and external reporting.
Incorporate scope changes, trends, and delays into the schedule and evaluate impacts, supporting mitigation and recovery planning.
Comply with Michels Canada policies and procedures.
Lead Planning Sessions with internal teams, vendors, and third parties to develop and validate schedule logic and collect progress data.
Prepare and maintain the project Baseline Schedule and Basis of Schedule document.
Identify and maintain the project’s critical and near-critical paths. Continuously analyze schedule health and report key metrics and trends.
Ensure all schedule activities are aligned with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) with project controls systems for progress tracking and forecasting.
Establish and manage the project schedule for construction and pre-commissioning phases and ensure that activities are updated accurately and on a regular basis.

Experience with Scheduling Software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, etc.).
Strong conceptual and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
An Engineering Technology Diploma or an Engineering Degree preferred but not mandatory.
7 to 10 years’ experience in project control, project planning, scheduling and project execution experience is essential.
As this position requires significant amount of cooperation with other individuals, excellent interpersonal and team playing skills are essential for success.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good commercial acumen and with experience of interfacing with clients.
