Administer and configure BIM/plant design software, support projects, and manage software tools.

Tasks

-Setup, maintain and provide guidance on global work sharing with plant design software -Analyze more complex software issues, suggest workarounds where possible, and report bugs to software vendors when appropriate -Tests new commercial software releases -Continues review of Black and Veatch processes and standards and gains an understanding of how they relate to the design tools -Setup and maintenance of user accounts -Establish and maintain standard library of CAD symbols, macros and templates -Continues learning of items defined in previous level -Template configuration and conformance to Project requirements -Provide technical support to an engineering discipline and tool set -Implements software upgrade to minimize impact on project execution -Report customization

-Continues to learn configuration and customization for specific engineering disciplines including but not limited to: -Basic knowledge of procurement and contract administration -Learning on the Fly -Basic ability to interpret engineering deliverable content as assigned -Inter discipline modelling approach and execution -Written Communications -Basic industry knowledge and technology trends -Problem Solving -Basic knowledge of company quality program -Basic knowledge of process, procedures for project controls and estimating -Basic knowledge of technical aspects of the proposal process -Learns more advanced execution methods using commercial plant design tools or AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Operations) software to deliver the engineering deliverables to include: -Basic knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline -Intellectual Horsepower -Basic knowledge of construction and constructability practices and principles
