General Building Engineer

Overview

Perform building maintenance and safety checks in a prison environment.

Tasks

-Ensuring availability of critical parts for statutory tasks and managing remedial tasks in the CAFM system. -Conducting monthly checks and tests of fire extinguisher equipment, fire hydrants, and hoses. -Completing quarterly RCD testing and inspect Misting Units. -Undertaking monthly and annual emergency lighting checks. -Checking and testing smoke vents as required. -Maintaining fire doors and performing flushing and tap temperature tests as per water risk assessments.
