Tasks

-Leads the design team to produce schematic design, design development, tender and construction documents that meet the project requirements within the allocated schedule and budget. -Oversees a team of project engineers and designers for technical, resourcing and design quality. -Provides mentorship and supervision for project engineers and designers. -Responsible for meeting engineering quality standards on assigned projects. -Leads proposals and pursuits and supports business development. -Leads project activities and mentor design staff on all aspects of their work. -Oversees financial & technical project management. -Writes, studies and reports on electrical system work. -Manages development of design concepts and ensures proper application and execution. -Checks the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.

What You Bring

-Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) products and electrical design software. -Advanced oral and written communication skills. -The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in the Electrical Engineering field. -Auto CAD experience and REVIT MEP proficiency desired. -Thorough understanding of electrical engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others. -Strong interpersonal skills and articulate verbal communication-essential for collaborating with clients, consultants, and contractors. -Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree. -Reports to the Senior Vice President – Buildings, work independently and with minimal supervision on projects from start to completion. -Professional Engineer (P.Eng) licensed with PEO is required. -Proven team leadership experience. -Presentation and interview skills.
