The Role

Overview

Oversee maintenance, repair, and safety of commercial dock doors and levelers.

Tasks

-Create preventive maintenance schedules and ensure consistent execution. -Maintain documentation of service records, inspections, and repairs. -Comply with C&W Uniform Dress Code while working and maintain a neat and clean appearance while on the property at times other than working hours -Train and support technicians or maintenance staff as needed. -Develop, implement, and manage dock door and dock leveler maintenance programs. -Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. -Complete all required C&W Safety Training as scheduled annually -Work from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts while adhering to PPE and fall protection requirements. -Perform commercial and industrial maintenance and repairs on overhead doors and dock leveling systems. -Conduct inspections and ensure systems meet operational and safety standards. -Serve as the primary point of contact for dock door-related issues. -Ensure all work complies with company safety policies and OSHA standards. -Collaborate with operations and facilities teams to prioritize and schedule repairs.

What You Bring

-5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting -Appropriate license/permit for trade as may be required, i.e. Journeyman or Master Electrician License or City Licenses, such as Refrigeration Certificate of Fitness, High Pressure Boiler License, High Pressure Steam Operator, etc.) -Thorough knowledge in all building systems operations, maintenance and repair. -Sense of Urgency -Strong communication skills -Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record with periodic checks (where applicable) -Graduate of apprentice program or trade school preferred -Basic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & Word -Proven experience installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial overhead steel doors and dock levelers. -Technical Proficiency -High School Diploma of GED Equivalent -Must own a complete set of tools required for the role. -Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in physically demanding environments. -Knowledgeable in energy management systems, techniques and operations. -Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. -May be required to have certification as a Universal Technician for CFC’s depending on market licensure requirements -Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. -Ability to work as a team -Experience in operation, maintenance and basic repair of HVAC, boilers, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, water systems, etc. -Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. -Willingness to travel as needed.
