Accounting Assistant handling AP/AR, commissions, payroll, and reconciliations.

Tasks

-Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. -Calculate, track, and verify commission-based payroll payments before processing. -Work independently, prioritize tasks, and ensure accuracy in financial transactions. -Enter and verify invoices, payments, and purchase orders in the accounting system. -Assist in generating financial reports and maintaining compliance with company policies. -Process accounts payable & receivable, ensuring timely payments and accurate records.

What You Bring

-Experience: 3-5 years minimum of bookkeeping experience required -Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently. -Strong background in bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. -Attention to detail and accuracy -Experience with commission-based payroll processing is a must. -Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws, and regulations -Excellent organization and communication skills. -Familiarity with Sage or similar accounting software. -Ability to prioritize work -Education: High school Diploma. Associate degree w/ accounting coursework preferred -Computer Skills: Experience with accounting software (e.g. Sage Intacct) -Company vehicle, gas card & iPad (for field roles) -Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data -Ability to handle high transaction volume and meet deadlines. -Strong organizational and time management skills
