Overview
Install, maintain and repair electrical systems at BP Hemel Hempstead oil terminal.

Tasks
-Implement corrective actions to prevent recurring electrical problems. -Perform routine checks and maintenance on electrical and control systems and instruments. -Coordinate with other maintenance and operations personnel to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with overall terminal functionality. -Analyze and interpret electrical schematics to identify and resolve issues. -Calibrate and adjust electrical equipment to ensure accurate and efficient operation. -Document equipment specifications, serial numbers, and calibration data. -Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components at the oil terminal. -Performs electrical isolations following bp standards. -Assist with mechanical maintenance and repair works. -Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards. -Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. -Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential electrical problems.

What You Bring
-Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding work progress and challenges. -Proven experience as an electrician. -Effective communication and collaboration skills. -Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety standards. -Strong attention to detail and precision in work. -Level 3 Electrical qualification / completion of an apprenticeship program in Electrical industry. -Mechanical experience – training to be provided to the successful applicant. -Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. -Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. -Ability to work in various physical situations and be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials. -Comfortable working in various environments, including exposure to heights and confined spaces. -Must be available to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required. -Must hold full UK manual driver’s license
