Tasks

-Work closely with property management to coordinate training of residents in understanding resident and management responsibilities particularly with respect to obligations of tenancy -Identify, develop, and maintain networks of existing community based supportive and social service agencies for all assigned properties -Set up volunteer support programs with service providers in the community -Provide technical assistance to residents and resident councils in establishing programs at the property, development of resident councils, fundraising, and incorporation of other service as needed -Assist Development department with securing letters of support for Supportive Services Plans and New Project Applications -Prepare reports on supportive service activities and serve as a liaison with nonprofit partners, the State’s Housing Finance Agency, and other governmental/oversight committees as required -Provide general case management (including intake) and referral services to all residents needing assistance -Create, update, and implement training modules for the Community and Supportive Services Department -Participate in candidate interviews and partner with Property Managers to make well informed hiring determinations -Counsel underperforming employees and provide direct commentary to their improve performance -Improve knowledge and skill through participation in training sessions, annual service coordinator meetings, staff meeting and other professional development opportunities -Participate in leadership meetings and conferences for the purpose of continued professional development. -Develop a resource directory of service providers for residents and property management -Promote onsite educational events which may include topics relating to healthcare, job search seminars, and life skills training -Refer and link residents to service providers and agencies in the general community—such organizations will provide services which may include, but are not limited to: job readiness, training and employment, preventative health screenings, budget counseling and money management, parenting skills and childcare alternatives, educational opportunities, leadership development, and other family services -Provide coaching, counseling, training, and feedback to assigned Community and Supportive Service Coordinators -Coordinate the implementation of supportive service plans and the delivery of needed and appropriate services at all assigned properties

What You Bring

-Minimum of 5 years of administrative experience, preferably in property management -Ability to travel up to 25% of the time; must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. -College degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience in human service -Advanced customer service and problem-solving skills -Technically proficient in Microsoft Office -Strong written and verbal communication skills -Sound interpersonal skills -Ability to establish relationships across the organization and at various hierarchical levels -Ability to work in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment -Supervisory experience is required
