Overview
Oversee accounting, reporting, and controls for real estate investments, leading finance team.

Tasks
-Coordinate and manage annual external audits, tax filings, and related reporting processes. -Lead and manage the accounting function including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and property-level accounting. -Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and documentation standards. -Partner with Asset Management, Operations, and Acquisitions leadership to support business operations and strategic initiatives. -Review acquisition and disposition accounting entries, purchase price allocations, and gain/loss recognition. -Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team; set goals, training, and development plans. -Ensure compliance with all regulatory and tax reporting requirements. -Provide financial and accounting expertise during acquisitions, due diligence, and deal structuring. -Coordinate with asset management and investments teams to ensure timely, accurate property performance reporting. -Collaborate with the CFO and senior leadership on financial strategy and risk management. -Oversee property-level accounting processes, including income recognition and expense allocations. -Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and streamline processes. -Oversee preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. -Drive process improvements, automation, and system implementation to enhance operations.

What You Bring
-Prior experience in real estate investment or private equity is required. -Proven leadership and team management skills. -Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities. -Proficiency in Yardi and other accounting or real estate software. -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred). -12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role. -Strategic mindset balancing hands-on execution with long-term vision. -Deep understanding of real estate investment accounting, property-level performance reporting, and transactional accounting. -Strong knowledge of GAAP, real estate financial reporting standards, and internal control frameworks. -Strong Excel and financial analysis skills. -Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. -Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
