Tasks

-Client management of key municipal water/wastewater clients. -Mentorship of younger engineers and project managers in water/wastewater design, project management, and client management. -Support and lead proposal efforts for municipal water/wastewater contracts and/or projects. -Participate in water/wastewater organizations including presenting at conferences to expand Dewberry’s brand in the water market. -Support and/or prepare task order proposals for on-call engineering contracts. -Project management and engineering lead for wastewater collections system evaluation and design projects. -Support and lead client action and capture plans for specific clients or opportunities.

What You Bring

-A Professional Engineering license is required. -Strong leadership qualities and ability to coach and mentor junior and mid-level staff. -Strong client retention and new business development skills. -At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization. -25 + years’ experience of increasing levels of project and client responsibilities for public sector water and wastewater projects. -A minimum of 10 years’ project management and technical staff supervision experience. -Only recipients of an offer of employment from Dewberry, will be required to submit to a background screening which may include, but is not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, driving record check, criminal background check, and an investigative consumer report. These screenings will be conducted by Dewberry’s background vendor of choice and will be conducted in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local law. -B.S. degree in Civil Engineering field is required; M.S. degree preferred. -A successful track record of building water/wastewater client relationships in Northern Virginia ’s water/wastewater market, particularly high-profile regional clients. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -A successful track record of managing projects, including scope, schedule, and budget.
