External Finishers

Description

• Supports project schedules and contributes to a positive site culture.
• Operate dumpers safely and efficiently to move materials around site.
• Carry out daily plant checks , maintain equipment, and report any defects to site management.
• Work from site drawings and levels to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
• Complete concrete works , backfilling, and minor reinstatement as required.
• Prepare sub-bases, check levels, and ensure areas are properly compacted and ready for installation.
• Work closely with supervisors and other operatives to meet deadlines and support project delivery.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area.
• Carry out all aspects of external finishing , including laying slabs, kerbs, edgings, and paving to line and level.

Requirements

• Proven experience in external finishing (slabs, kerbs, edgings, paving).
• Experience with other plant such as rollers or 360 excavators .
• Strong awareness of site health and safety .

• Able to collaborate effectively with other site teams and trades.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Experience working on housing developments, highways, or commercial sites.
• Ability to read levels and site drawings .
• 5+ years experience in groundworks or civil engineering .
• Valid CSCS card .
• Must have the right to work in the UK .
• Valid CPCS/NPORS Dumper ticket (NPORS must be CSCS affiliated with hologram).
• Punctual, professional, and committed to delivering quality workmanship.
