Tasks

-Undertake the role of quality monitor on various schemes including housing schemes -Technical reviews to manage the quality of our services -Lead and manage teams preparing designs for extensions, refurbishment schemes and new build developments ranging from £50k to £4m -Prepare schedules of dilapidations -Handling claims and negotiations with loss adjusters leading to the preparation of drawings and specifications for remedial work for insurance purposes -Carry out building and condition surveys -Leading projects and often co-ordinating our in house multi discipline design services -Provide advice on buildings ensuring they conform to the latest building regulations and technical standards -Analyse and report on building defects -Taking particulars on site, writing up specifications, obtaining tenders, planning maintenance programmes and administering contracts for maintenance work -Provide advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair and refurbishment of all types of residential, commercial properties and educational facilities -Supervising, managing and mentoring junior members of the building surveying team
