Tasks
-Provide safety recognition programs for yards and individuals demonstrating exemplary safety emphasis and results -Participate on a regular basis and periodically conduct weekly safety meetings and training sessions -Identify training needs through previous losses, employee concerns, industry mishaps, and near misses -Track and follow-up with all open action items until properly completed for each yard -Conduct property and vehicle inspections as required -Help develop a culture to support company safety objectives -Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the local managers and employees -Help identify physical, behavioral, and cultural exposures that could lead to loss -Establish and maintain effective working relationships at every level of the organization; invest in building relationships with the Field Operations and Field Support Center team members. -Help champion an inclusive working environment; empower others to bring their full selves to the workplace; celebrate, welcome, and value the different backgrounds and experiences that make up our workforce; recognize that all team members are valued, regardless of race, background, tenure, or title. -Help yards identify sources for safety related equipment and training materials -Complete a monthly status report detailing previous month’s activities -Submit yearly personal safety goals and monitor progress against goals via monthly reports, proper scheduling, and time management skills -Remain current and fully informed about regulatory legislation -Participate in the review of new locations, acquisitions, additions, and modifications from a safety perspective -Coordinate investigation of major accidents and losses and develop strategies to address root causes -Complete an official Yard Audit Report at least quarterly for each responsible yard -Assist in the development, reformat, and/or deployment of policies and programs as requested and recommend changes as needed -Routinely observe and document safe and unsafe vehicle conditions and driver behaviors by riding with or behind company vehicles while traveling to and from job sites utilizing the appropriate checklists or apps -Routinely visit job sites for the purpose of identifying hazards and observing deliveries while completing the Employee Jobsite Safety Observation Form -Remain a technical expert and technical resource for safety, loss prevention, risk management, OSHA, DOT, and other related disciplines. -Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and standards -Promote safe and healthy working conditions

What You Bring
-Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office and warehouse environment 50% of the time. -Must be able to receive and analyze information. -Demonstrated knowledge of construction industry and building materials -Strong Microsoft office skills -Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. -Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement. -Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team; ability to lead, execute and/or delegate as needed, while also collaborating with others to get the job done. -Must be able to manage stress depending on tasks. -Must be able to operate basic office machinery. -Will frequently move about inside the office and warehouse -Minimum of 5 years of related work experience -Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers. -Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks. -Must be able to multitask. -Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur. -Ability to self-manage, show initiative, be proactive, and drive results.
