As a Business Development Director – Insurance, you will lead the acquisition of new logo clients and drive large-scale, high-value deal closures (£5m–£20m+). This is a senior, client-facing role with full ownership of the sales lifecycle – from market planning, pipeline development, through to bid leadership and contract negotiation.

You will develop strategic go-to-market plans, engage with senior stakeholders (including CxOs), and collaborate closely with internal teams across pre-sales, delivery, and solution design to shape compelling, client-focused value propositions.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record in winning complex IT services deals within the UK Insurance sector, excellent commercial and relationship management skills, and a consultative sales style.
- Comfortable with full sales lifecycle: pipeline building to closure
- Proven track record in new business sales within the Insurance sector
- Experience across both General Insurance and Lloyd’s markets
- Prior experience working in or selling to large IT consultancies or system integrators
- Strong communication, commercial acumen, and strategic thinking
- Trusted partner to major insurance clients
- Experience closing IT services deals worth £5m–£20m+
- Broad IT services knowledge (consulting, application, infrastructure, testing)
- Understanding of onsite/offshore delivery models
- Consultative sales approach with excellent CxO-level engagement
Benefits
Working Model: Hybrid / Flexible
Salary: Up to £140,000 - £180,000 Base + Bonus
