The Role

Overview

Design, analyze, and rehabilitate hydroelectric structures and related civil works.

Tasks

-Structural design of hydraulic structures, hydroelectric power plants and related structures (concrete and steel); -Rehabilitation of hydraulic works, hydroelectric power plants and related structures; -Production of preliminary and detailed engineering, and preparation and/or verification of design calculations and associated calculation notes; -Multidisciplinary coordination, attending and leading design meetings (internally and with the client); -Participation and supervision of the production of the main technical deliverables, i.e. design reports, structural drawings and technical specifications for calls for tenders and for construction; -Follow-up the works during construction.

What You Bring

-Fluency in English (spoken and written), bilingualism, an asset; -Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural profile, Master’s degree in civil engineering, an asset; -Being a member of the PEO or being eligible for registration as a professional engineer in Canada; -Knowledge of Ontario Power Generation standards is an asset. -Having minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the design and rehabilitation of water retaining structures, bridges and civil engineering structures;
