Provide on-site assistance during startup and construction phases
Determine motor control center and substation loading
Create accurate electrical installation documents from vendor equipment drawings
Produce installation details, MCC single lines, electric room layouts, motor elementary diagrams, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts, grounding, lighting, power, and instrumentation plans
Interpret project scope, specifications, and design criteria
Estimate task durations and meet project deadlines
Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure coordinated design efforts
Support cost estimation and material take-offs
Perform calculations for lighting levels, voltage drop, conduit/tray fill, wire/conduit sizing, and overcurrent protection

Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation drafting and design
Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation materials and construction practices
Knowledge of company and industry drafting standards
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required, 3D desirable), Revit, Navisworks and Microsoft Office Suite
Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting
Willingness to travel occasionally for field verification and support
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
Ability to work independently and within virtual teams across offices
Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
