Tasks

You’ll play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of social housing projects, ensuring profitability, compliance, and quality across every tender submission. -Participate in tender review meetings, value engineering discussions, and post-tender negotiations. -Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to produce accurate take-offs and pricing. -Maintain strong commercial awareness and ensure alignment with company objectives and client expectations. -Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and the internal pre-construction team to ensure bids are competitive and compliant. -Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for social housing projects.

What You Bring

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing team in Swanley, specialising in projects within the social housing sector. The successful candidate will have a proven background working for main contractors within the construction industry, with a strong understanding of planned maintenance, refurbishment, and retrofit works. -Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel. -Strong numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills. -Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contractor in the construction sector. -Excellent communication and organisational abilities. -Solid understanding of social housing, planned works, refurbishment, or retrofit projects.
