Transition Janitor

Overview

Maintain cleanliness, manage shift transitions, and ensure hygiene at NY PDC.

Tasks

-Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting needs for replenishment to management. -Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal throughout the facility. -Collaborate with facility management and other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules and special projects. -Inspect facilities regularly to identify and address sanitation or maintenance issues promptly. -Manage the transition of janitorial duties between shifts to ensure seamless continuity and thorough coverage of all cleaning areas.

Requirements

What You Bring

-High school diploma or equivalent. -Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies. -Experience working in a consumer support services or similar facility environment. -Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers or buffers. -Certification in janitorial or custodial services. -Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. -Strong attention to detail and reliability. -Familiarity with safety and sanitation regulations. -Previous experience in janitorial or custodial services. -Good communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and management.
