Assist Oxidizer Operator with daily tasks, safety checks, and equipment operation.

Tasks

-Complete all Health & Safety pre-start checklists for operational tasks. -Conduct general housekeeping duties of the area and trailer. -Assist the Oxidizer Operator in daily operational tasks to ensure equipment is running up to standard. Notify any deficiencies to the Oxidizer Operator and assist him/her during corrective actions. -Operate counterbalance or propane-powered forklift. -Monitor and record readings on operating equipment and notify the Oxidizer Operator when readings are out of range. -Assist with the completion of daily operations checklists and SOCs. -Adhere to all IKO’s Safety policies, programs, and procedures. -Document production numbers and items contributing to down-times (using a computerized system, as well as hand-written production reports) -Assist Oxidizer operator in monitoring and ensuring products being produced meet established quality specifications. -Document quality checks at regular intervals.

What You Bring

-Highly motivated, self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills -Must be flexible; able to work other shifts, overtime and weekends when needed -Ability to operate a pallet jack to move material -Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and follow instructions. -Attention to detail -Ability to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basis -Fluent in verbal and written English -Must be able to work 12-hour shifts on alternate days with rotating weekends off. -Minimum 1 year of counter-balance forklift operating experience (Recommended) -Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces -Ability to read basic measurement tools and ability to read and follow proper work instructions. -Comfortable standing for extended periods of time -Manual dexterity -Ability to regularly stand and use hands to fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. -Previous experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing, construction, or similar industry preferred -Comfortable with working in a dusty environment
