Tasks

-Providing high level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance for the project and team members -Participate in workplace inspections. -Report all incidents, near hits and hazards to management. -Managing the completion of project close-out, punch list items and procedures, and project permit process. -Providing oversight on facilitating equipment for project site (cranes, trailers, trucks, etc.) -Conducting preconstruction meetings with all subcontractors prior to beginning each phase of work -Leading preconstruction meetings with all subcontractors prior to beginning each phase of work. -Developing scopes of work for trades -Mentoring and managing timely performance evaluation of direct reports -Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established Yates Safety Procedures and Work Practices -Managing the site with current phased Job Site Utilization Plans -Managing all phases of the construction process including documenting and reporting site activities and progress -Implementing a high level of understanding of MEP types and respective risk factors -Evaluating field progress against the “plan,” developing recovery plans, if necessary -Fostering and enhancing owner, architect, subcontractor, and vendor relations -Managing the QC component of the project -Ensuring strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements throughout the project -Participate in required and/or assigned training. -Planning logistics, crane plans, direction of construction and overall path to project completion. -Provide suggestions to improve Safety. -Reviewing and verifying quantity takeoffs and materials management process during the buyout process for specific scopes of work -Provides guidance and overview of Site Superintendent, look ahead scheduling and planning. -Coordinating and scheduling the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating to and through project foreperson to deliver instructions and project assignments as appropriate. -Participating in the development and management of a CPM schedule to include short- term look ahead to ensure trades are appropriately engaged in project execution. -Overseeing weekly work activities for trade crews -Setting and implementing production plan including manpower and personnel needs onsite. -Ensuring as-built working drawings are maintained as well as the current drawing log and revision log and communicates this to the subcontractors. -Leading meetings with owners and design partners for the project -Meeting with multiple trade partners and principals of the project -Tracking project phase completion against milestones -Performing constructability reviews -Attend prestart and Safety meetings and contribute. -Assists with administering the site safety program as required and ensuring Trade Partner compliance with OSHA standards and Yates Site Specific Requirements and all applicable safety codes and regulations. -Leading toolbox talks/briefings

What You Bring

-Strong knowledge of complex MEP types -Minimum of twelve (12) years’ industry experience -Understanding financial impact and risks allows for the integration of cost-effective solutions when needed, including but not limited to VE. -Strong understanding of planning and scheduling -Exhibits a strong competency in all trade types for specified projects. -An undergraduate University degree or higher (preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or a closely related field) is desirable. -Required to wear and maintain personal PPE. -Experience managing projects valued at or above $100MM. -Strong knowledge of business and/or financial principles to project and monitor expenses. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel -Understanding and utilizing various types of project contract documents, specifications, and drawings -Other relevant education, training or work experience may substitute for bachelor’s degree. -Ability to understand and utilize technical specifications, blueprints, technical manuals, product/material installation instructions and engineering/architectural drawings.
