Tasks

-Bring your good dog to work -Assist with regulatory reporting and other compliance activities as needed -Ensure compliance with applicable GAAP standards and internal policies -Assist in managing day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting -Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance -Collaborate cross-functionally with operational, project, and corporate leaders to align accounting with broader business goals -Provide support and mentorship to accounting team members, fostering professional growth and performance -Partner with the CFO and executive team to develop key financial metrics, dashboards, and performance reports to support data-driven decision making -Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate results -Maintain and continuously improve accounting systems, procedures, and internal workflows for scalability and efficiency -Prepare and review timely, accurate, and comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements -Support external financial audits and coordinate tax filings with external CPA firms

Financial Reporting & Compliance This is an exceptional opportunity for a growth-oriented finance professional who is looking to make a significant impact in a growing firm and help shape the future of our accounting operations. -3 – 6 years of progressive experience in accounting -BS in Accounting, Finance or related field -Experience with ERP/project accounting software, such as Deltek VantagePoint, is highly desirable -A background in a multi-entity, project-based environment such as engineering, construction, or professional services is desirable -Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with GAAP, audits, and internal controls. -Demonstrated ability to work in a growth-oriented environment, manage competing priorities, and build high-performing teams
