Tasks

-Prepare estimates, material take offs, scopes of work, survey packages and design packages -Review designs against applicable industry codes and standards as well as internal standards -Apply engineering calculations to various project challenges to develop complete and competent designs -Conduct site visits for field reconnaissance during the project design phase and field inspections during the project construction phase -Perform quality review of project deliverables -Prepare design packages for construction -Develop new designs by applying knowledge of utility electrical systems and their operation -Assist in the preparation of engineering reports

-Self-motivated to perform assigned tasks -Ability to work in design teams and take the initiative to learn the position -Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite -Strong computer design skills and ability to learn new software packages efficiently -Eligible for internship through a university program and pursuing an electrical engineering degree -Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills -Excellent verbal and written communication skills
