Foreman, Roadway (Earthwork / Grading)

Overview

Lead & supervise earthwork, grading and roadway projects, managing crews and equipment.

Tasks

-Estimate materials, monitor schedules, and adjust workflows to meet deadlines -Optimize production methods and crew efficiency -Maintain strong knowledge of equipment capabilities and limitations -Inspect work for compliance with specs and safety standards -Interpret blueprints, layout work sites, and shoot grades using levels and GPS -Manage and coordinate grading crew activities, including hands-on equipment operation

What You Bring

-Good eye to hand coordination a must. Depth Perception required. -A minimum of 8 year (overall) of operating large heavy equipment experience -A minimum of 8 years of main roadway / highway construction experience required -High School diploma/GED preferred. -Know how to shoot grade with level an some knowledge of GPS -A minimum of 5 years of supervising / crew leadership experience -Be able to carry 70 lbs. or more – frequent cross body movements such as bending, climbing, twisting, balancing, stooping, etc. -Valid Driver’s license -Experience find grading with various pieces of equipment -A minimum of 8 years of experience of dirt and grading work (subgrade treatment, fine grading).
