The Role

Overview

Perform FEA analysis of subsea and surface equipment, produce technical docs, ensure compliance.

Tasks

-Provide input to and support improvements to processes or work instructions -Frequent contact and interface with internal organization (Engineers, Drafters, Quality, Project Managers, Site Fabrication team). -Provides recommendations for optimizing designs to ensure functionality and manufacturability -Should be able to perform technical design reviews and recommend improvements -Ensure good personal time management and weekly time entry into SAP system -Ensures that assignments conform to TechnipFMC guidelines and specifications. -Independently develops solutions to problems by analyzing, interpreting and evaluating data. Anticipates potential problems and takes preventative actions. -Participates in design reviews and provides specialist piping, jumper or flowline design advice to other engineers. -Uses sound engineering judgment, classical calculations and analysis programs to analyze designs and generate new designs. -Responsible for quality and on-time-delivery of assigned tasks -Creates and reviews technical documents (specifications, drawings, design documents, analysis reports etc.) for existing or new technology or applications. -Individual contributor and also review & approve analysis work of others. -Review and interpret customer technical specifications and industry codes -Ensure lessons learnt and best practices are captured adequately into Analysis techniques, project / product design.

What You Bring

-Experience with welded and bolted structure analysis -Relevant TechnipFMC processes and local work instructions -Must be able to verify and substantiate FEA results with classical hand calculation methods -Knowledge of industry specific design codes like ASME, API, DNV, NORSK and ISO -Must be able to participate in technical review meetings and discussions -TCE and intranet system training. -Must be able to work hands-on and guide team members -Analysis software training as required -Should be able to do hands-on Finite Element analysis -BE or MTech in Mechanical Engineering -Understand and comply with TechnipFMC HSE & Quality policies -HR/HSE/Quality induction training -Must be able to estimate, plan and meet individual work requirements -Experience in high pressurized equipment/Boiler vessels/Heavy Engineering -TechnipFMC subsea system and product training modules. -Must be able to write, review and approve technical reports and documents -Experience in Oil and Gas equipment finite element analysis -Proficient in Non-Linear analysis -Ansys or Abaqus tool knowledge is must -Minimum 10+ years of relevant industry experience with background in analyzing subsea/surface equipment preferred -Able to do technical supervision/guiding of a group of analysts. -Proficient in Structural and Thermal analysis
