Environmental Assistant Staff Project Manager I

Support senior staff on field environmental projects, handling sampling and site investigations.

Tasks

-Scheduling, training and oversight of environmental technicians. -Communicate changing site conditions to supervisor and discuss their implications on field investigations. Implement investigation changes in the field as directed by your supervisor -Interact and collaborate with staff members on a variety of projects -Keep supervisor informed of changing site conditions and/or additional testing requested on project sites. -Attend project meetings with senior staff as requested -Work with senior staff to develop an understanding of the relation of field observations and sample results to findings and conclusions in the report -Assist with remediation system installation, operation, and maintenance. -Clearly document site observations for field work performed and submit daily reports -Initiate project set up and implementation under the direct supervision of senior staff -Assist on Groundwater and soil investigations and media sampling. -Interface with contractors and other site personnel on project sites daily -Assist with underground storage tank assessments. -Perform boring and test pit layouts and evaluate site access with senior oversight

What You Bring

-Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other Engineering degree applicable to Environmental Consulting, Natural or Environmental Science, Geology, or other degree relevant to the practice of Environmental Consulting -Basic knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and environmental test methods -Good understanding of sample collection, preparation, preservation sample hold times and laboratory submission regulations and guidelines. -If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver’s license is required -Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds a number of times each day and walk on uneven ground through various terrains. -Basic knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations and guidelines and their implications on findings and conclusions in studies. -Basic knowledge of environmental principles and applications.
