Overview

Design and deliver HVAC control system documentation and software for commercial projects.

Tasks

-Preparation of control systems submittals, as-built wiring diagrams, and operating and maintenance manuals -Frequent jobsite visits to establish a clear scope of work prior to starting engineering tasks and attendance at project jobsite field turnover meetings. -Participation in ongoing review and enhancement of the McKenney's ACS design and implementation standards along with the management team -Utilization of Project Support Center personnel for Revit work, assembly, and delivery of completed submittal or O&M packages, and material logistics -Creation of software on projects that have been targeted for the software production process

What You Bring

-4 years of experience working in an engineering or design capacity on communicating or networked electronic systems -Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed, as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance -Adherence to the building design specifications, plans, VE modifications, and salesman's estimate is mandatory in the position, as is adherence to McKenney's ACS design and implementation standards -Demonstrated competency in Windows, Microsoft Office, function block programming environments, Web-enabled applications, and database software -Work requires local and occasional out-of-town travel to job sites and customer locations -Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and scaffolds, and to negotiate work areas under construction. -Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, engineering technology, or physical sciences -Moderate physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds and extensive standing and walking -Must possess and maintain an exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others -Experience in HVAC Controls, Building Automation, or Energy Monitoring -Associate's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or physical sciences, or equivalent technical training in a related field, with 2 years of the required experience, are working directly with commercial facility digital control and facility management systems -Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work well as part of a team and independently -Must project a professional and polished image that inspires confidence and trust -Advanced competency in Autodesk Revit. -Able to demonstrate a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlines -Must have PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software -Ability to maintain painstaking attention to detail while completing multiple or repetitive tasks -Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals -Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises
