Senior Test Technician

Overview

Test and validate electronic price sign and traffic control hardware/software.

Tasks

-Create test plans, documentation and technical reports -Diagnose and document faults in hardware, firmware, or software, and assist in rootcause analysis -Maintain and calibrate test equipment and lab tools to ensure accurate results -Prepare detailed test reports and maintain accurate logs of testing procedures and outcomes -Support the production team in product validation before deployment -Assist engineering teams with verification of design changes, prototypes, and production samples -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product compliance with company -Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test processes and procedures -Conduct functional, performance, and quality testing on price sign and traffic controlhardware and software systems

What You Bring

-Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills -Ability to lift and handle electronic components and test equipment (up to 50 lbs) -Associate’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience -Knowledge of networked signage or traffic control systems -Excellent communication and teamwork skills -Ability to read and modify software used in testing environment (preferably Python and/or National Instruments LabVIEW) -Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and LED display or traffic control systems preferred -Comfortable working in lab and production environments -Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation -Experience with software/firmware testing tools -Familiarity with safety standards for electronic devices -Openness to a diverse and flexible workload -Experience with electronic testing, measurement tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers), and basic lab equipment -Can read a Psychromatic chart to determine the temperature / humidity corners -Attention to detail and commitment to quality -Familiar with Photometric Analysis and Environmental Controls -Familiarity with Microsoft Office suites -Experience generating 4 or 5 corner temperature / humidity test for a thermal chamber
