Tasks

-Perform advanced analysis, calculations, and design evaluations for electrical power and lighting systems. -Define scope of work, conduct site inspections, and ensure quality and compliance throughout the design process. -Review project requirements and coordinate with other disciplines to refine design strategies and respond to evolving project conditions. -Participate in client meetings, assess project needs, present design concepts, and adjust plans to meet client expectations. -Collaborate with architects, interior designers, civil engineers, and other disciplines to deliver integrated building solutions. -Engage with clients, support proposal development, and contribute to business growth. -Engineer complete building systems—lighting, power distribution, and specialty electrical systems—across a variety of project types. -Communicate technical and program information clearly to team members, management, and clients. -Maintain up-to-date knowledge of government, military, and industry standards. -Edit and review technical specifications and contribute written narratives for project documentation. -Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and perform site visits during construction. -Use Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD to produce construction drawings and design electrical systems, including device layouts, circuiting, lighting, and panel schedules. -Maintain strong communication with internal teams and external stakeholders. -Coordinate or perform field work to gather data and verify existing conditions. -Prepare design fee estimates for proposals and RFPs. -Participate in the design and development of electrical construction documents, including layouts, details, and specifications. -Conduct internal technical reviews and quality control checks on project deliverables.

What You Bring

-5+ years of related experience -Possess a proficient understanding of inter-relationships among design/engineering disciplines, clients, and construction -Effective visual/verbal communication skills -Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a focus on Electrical Engineering -It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment. An employer who violates this law shall be subject to criminal penalties and civil liability. -Engineering software experience (SKM, EasyPower, AGI32, or Elumtools) -Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) -Licensed Professional Engineer Required -Extensive experience in Autodesk Revit/AutoCAD -Micro-Grid Design experience
