Leading team delivery of drinking water projects including evaluation and detailed design of intake structures, surface and ground water treatment plants, water reuse systems, storage, pumping, and transmission and distribution projects
Successfully collaborate with multi-disciplinary design teams
Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with clients
Work in collaboration with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, I&C, structural, and CAD) in producing plans and specifications
Providing marketing, technical leadership, and support during the procurement and execution of projects
Integration of smart water systems, process automation, and machine learning into overall water production and distribution design
Hydraulic modeling
Assisting in marketing business opportunities with key clients and development of responses to RFP/RFQs
Consistently managing and delivering projects on time and within budget
Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation and other applicable engineering design tools
Assisting clients with permitting, property acquisition, and stakeholder involvement
Preparing master planning reports and documentation required for grants and loans

Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in either Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering
Excellent technical writing skills
At least 10 years of relevant experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license; Illinois PE preferred or must be able to obtain within 6 months of hire date
Desire and ability to manage and mentor staff
Ability to articulate and operate within the One Water paradigm
Self-motivated subject matter expert; demonstrated through participating in local professional organizations, preparing, and presenting market specific papers and presentations
Master of Science (MS0 or PhD degree in either Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering)
Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills
Regional expertise in one or more areas of water supply, treatment, storage, and/or distribution technical expertise
