Tasks

-Oversees proposed construction project plans and blueprints from external entities (cities, developers, etc.) to mediate conflict with transmission facilities and right of ways -Creates and monitors business unit budget and directs activities to correct variances -Oversees and ensures a schedule management plan is in place and weekly interface with others inside or outside of the company -Develops designs to strengthen and modernize the grid as well as strategically planning around site specific challenges for new customer service requests -Leads and guides multi-disciplinary teams during the design, construction, and operations of infrastructure projects relative to regulatory requirements, environmental due diligence, and planning -Provides design engineering, cost estimates, and project management activities for overhead and underground, transmission, sub-transmission, and distribution systems -Designs deteriorated transmission pole replacements, asset decommissioning projects, and maintenance work -Oversees the development of critical-path schedules for day-to-day maintenance activities such as maintenance outages -A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

What You Bring

-Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management. -Seven or more years of experience in planning or project management implementing mulitple projects/programs, including maintaining scope and resources, and overseeing the tracking, and reporting of project/program performance. -Ability to define directions for new processes, standards, or operational plans based on business strategy for direct report leaders and their employees. -Experience establishing department objectives and work plans as well as staffing and resource needs. -Experience in Electrical Utility Distribution Design, Transmission Design or Distribution Line construction. -Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act. -Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook 365, PowerBI Dashboards and Design Manager (DM). -Position will require up to 30% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory. -Effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation. -Knowledge of distribution business line policies, practices, procedures, objectives, and strategies. -Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.

Benefits

-The primary work location for this position is the Dominguez Hills Service Center. However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at alternate work location. -This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
