Tasks
-Capable of determining calibration status of measuring and test equipment -Maintain a professional appearance -Inspect the work and establish punch lists -Ensures daily task schedules are met to meet the project schedule -Read, analyze and interpret blueprints and technical procedures -Work closely with the field quality staff acting as their field representative ensuring construction understands and follows the QA/QC requirements -Promote and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures Inspect and ensure the quality of work performed during the daily activities of the overall construction on large scale wind, solar, and industrial projects -On a daily basis monitor and record all work scope being executed and follow reporting criteria as determined by FQM and/or the client, as needed -Interacts cross-functionally with craft personnel and other team members -Write daily reports and document project activities -Detects deficiencies and addressed deficiencies in a timely and effective manner -Effectively collect and record field data to assure activities are conforming to corporate Quality Control procedures -Prevents deficiencies while working closely with field operating teams, through pre-construction quality control inspections -Ensures the effective implementation of the quality control program for assigned project task -Take reasonable care of your own and others health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzek's Zero Injury principles -Interface with field supervision to maintain an open line of communication and reporting monitor job progress, schedules and subcontractor performance -Performs inspection of various project activities; generates reports of conditions found during inspection activities; Notifies management of significant problems; Completes documentation to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities -Maintain complete and accurate records during inspections so they can be transferred to permanent hard copy and/or electronic files -Under general supervision, applies skills and knowledge to determine degree of conformance of materials, equipment and installation of materials and equipment to Wanzek or Client specifications -Must plan and conduct daily activities in a highly organized manner to ensure all QC and QA data are properly and accurately recorded

What You Bring
-Inspection related certifications, such as NDE, preferred -Associates degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management or related field Or High School Graduate or equivalent (GED) plus 1-3 years experience in related construction field -Preferred: Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry -Demonstrates good organizational, planning and time management skills -The Quality Inspector must be a self-starter, be organized and have good interpersonal skills -Preferred: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as area, circumference and volume -Ability to solve problems individually and in a team setting -Ability to independently perform work
