- Supporting the effective reliability, availability, operation and maintenance of the active operational infrastructure and associated electrical systems across the TBAG assets.
- Oversite and development of HV projects and Strategic Planning.
- Act as one of the sites Senior Authorised Persons, carrying out Electrical isolations on Low Voltage and High Voltage equipment and producing, and checking electrical Permits and switching schedules.
- Guidance on the implementation of TBAG Investment and asset management strategy in the short, medium, and long term.
- Providing expert specialist and technical engineering advice to the Engineering Manager and deputising both internally and externally.
- Proactive leadership to facilitate delivery of specific programmes including delivery of TBAG capital programme, TBAG maintenance programme, TBAG training/development programme and the execution of the TBAG gate trial and testing programme.
- Assisting the development of all TBAG Engineering strategies and policies.
- Undertaking a Thames Barrier Incident Role.

- Can read electrical drawings and diagrams.
- Chartered status with the IET
- Knowledge of managing maintenance contracts and projects.
- Experienced with High Voltage electrical systems.
- Good knowledge of electrical regulations and standards
- Excellent knowledge of Electrical and Safety Standards and Regulations.
- Experienced with Low Voltage electrical systems.
- Experienced with electrical fault finding
