The Role
Overview
Leads enterprise-wide EHS strategy, programs, and training to ensure safety and compliance.

Tasks
-Serves as a key liaison between corporate and field teams to integrate EHS programs into operational workflows and long-term planning. Drives transformation by fostering a culture of safety through proactive leadership engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and a shared commitment to continuous improvement and accountability. -Monitors and translates federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT) to ensure policy compliance and develop actionable training and controls. Maintain documentation and training records to support audits and compliance. -Create and manage the EHS Programs and Training budget to ensure cost-effective use of resources for equipment, training, and audits that support EHS strategic goals. -Coaches and develops a team of professionals to assist in their development and attainment of necessary skills to lift performance. Monitors staff performance and drives performance improvement initiatives and ensures that service levels meet or exceed agreed upon standards. -Drive EHS innovation by benchmarking best practices, piloting new programs, implementing new technology, and enhancing training accessibility and engagement across a dispersed workforce. -Leads investigations of major incidents, ensuring root cause analysis, regulatory-compliant reporting, and timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions. -Shape and implement EHS strategies that align with the corporate values, vision, and sustainability goals. Lead the EHS team and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement. -Design, standardize, and implement scalable, risk-based EHS programs that align with operational and regulatory requirements, covering key areas such as safety, compliance, risk, hazardous materials, and emergency response. Partner with L&D and Communications to ensure messaging and delivery align with branding and culture standards.

What You Bring
-Stategic thinker with strong execution and field engagement capabilities. -Master's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Heath & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or related field - preferred. -Certified Environmental Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) - preferred. -Strong project management and analytical skills. -Proficient in EHS and learning management systems (e.g., Enablon, Intelex). -5+ years of leadership experience. -Proven experience with EHS regulations and compliance in complex, multi-site environments with a background in adult learning, training development, and EHS systems implementation. -Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Heath & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or related field - preferred. -Excellent communication and leadership skills. -10+ years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety roles.
