Quantity Surveyor Internship/Placement

Assist senior QS with financial performance and contract administration on water projects.

Tasks

-Assist with accurate and timely contract administration, including drafting Early Warning Notices. -Assist Commercial team with preparation of KPI and VFM reports. -Liaise with site management team to obtain and monitor site records. -Assist with cashflow management, including updating the Client payment tracker and highlighting any deductions made. -Assist in the preparation of cashflow forecasts and other reporting on project performance. -Work closely with all members of the Commercial team and Project Managers to ensure projects are completed with all necessary contractual administration undertaken. -Adhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure contractual and ISO compliance. -Assist Commercial team with the preparation of monthly interim valuations to the Client. -Assist the site management team with management of subcontract packages, including drafting invitation to tender documents and final account statements. -Assist with preparation of claims including gathering any substantiation such as site records.

-Enthusiasm for learning and applying engineering concepts in real-world projects. -Willingness to work on-site and adapt to a dynamic project environment. -Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a professional environment. -Must be returning to college/university after completion of the placement (this is a structured placement opportunity, not a graduate role). -Currently enrolled in a Quantity Surveyor (or related) degree programme. -Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
