Tasks

We are seeking a Mechanical Integrity Engineer to assess and enhance the structural reliability and service life of defense engine components. The candidate will play a key role in evaluating in-service hardware, performing life-extension assessments, and supporting root-cause investigations to ensure mechanical integrity across the fleet. -Conduct life extension studies, fracture mechanics evaluations, and root-cause analyses for in-service fleets. -Develop and maintain life prediction models for critical hardware and support certification documentation. -Analyze field and test data to identify degradation trends and recommend corrective actions. -Collaborate with design, materials, and maintenance teams to enhance reliability and reduce sustainment costs. -Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to assess stresses, fatigue life, and failure mechanisms. -Evaluate service life, durability, and damage tolerance of engine and structural components.

What You Bring

Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder Experience Range: 3–10 Years -Strong background in FEA (preferably using ANSYS). -Familiarity with aerospace materials and propulsion systems. -Experience with defense or aerospace propulsion systems. -B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline). -Expertise in fatigue, fracture mechanics, and damage tolerance methodologies. -Knowledge of MIL-STD or DoD life assessment methodologies. -Strong analytical, documentation, and presentation skills. -Experience with data analytics and statistical analysis tools.
