The Role

Overview

Process multi-state payroll for exempt and non-exempt staff, handling taxes and GL entries.

Tasks

-Safety: Uphold the highest safety standards for all. -Create Value for the Customer: Deliver innovative, reliable solutions. -Process expenses and sends payment to 3rd party vendor. -Integrity and Trust: Foster honest, ethical relationships. -Reconciles payroll-related general ledger and prepares reports or statements summarizing payroll-related accounts. May interface with third-party payroll vendors. -Process general ledger entries at the end of each payroll. -Process payroll for non-exempt weekly and exempt semi-monthly within Global View (GV) to ensure accurate and timely running of all payrolls. -Ensure attention to detail and accuracy of payroll records, excellent problem solving/judgment skills for various employee inquiries and issues. -Coordinate and process the Union vacation payout in January and July. -Coordinate and process the Expat/Inpat pay and yearly updates.

What You Bring

-Ability to effectively communicate information to employees and management. -Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. -Knowledge of state, federal and local tax laws. -Payroll processing experience for a multi-state employer with multiple locations -Experience with for payroll processing and report writing systems such as ADP Global View, SAP, Concur and e-Time -Proficient in Excel (must have advance excel formula knowledge), Word, PowerPoint and Outlook -Ability to interface with and satisfy the needs of diverse groups-ranging from corporate to operations people -Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting or Related Field -Experience with processing Union dues and payouts as needed -Proven customer service skills while maintaining a confidential work environment. -MUST HAVE previous experience processing payrolls in SAP or Global View.
